I’m sorry if you’re expecting the big game breakdown I promised. I’m going to have to let you down. I’ve spent a month thinking about this game, mentally preparing for this game, and organizing my thoughts for this game.
Now that we’re almost 24 hours to kickoff, and it’s time to write the game preview, I’m done with the thinking, talking, “expert analysis” and all the other bullshit. None of what I write matters. And anything I write you’ve already thought about, if you’re half as insane with anticipation as I am.
Let’s just play this game already.
Texas wins 24-13. The offense will struggle, but the defense will win the day. No one’s talking about our defense. Mr. McElroy, good luck throwing the ball against our defense. You’re going to need it.
To everyone going to California: Enjoy the hell out of the trip. Enjoy the Rose Bowl — one of the best venues for sports in the country!

I will be at a sports bar, and I will not be nerdy enough to bring my laptop to said sports bar. Plus, I will be intoxicated.

I got what I wanted. Alabama instead of Florida. Now we need to go in there and play some ball.
I think the keys are 1) our OL. This cannot be understated. If our OL plays great we win by 2 scores. But what makes anyone think these guys will play great… 2) forcing McElroy into mistakes and picks. He only has 4 picks but he has also not thrown the ball much. I think we can force him into mistakes.
I understand why Alabama is favored but I like our chances and I think we win 31-24.
After getting home and watching game again, i am even more convinced IF colt goes the whole game we win by 2 touchdowns easy, Alabama would have played from behind the whole game, we had 5 sacks on 11 passes. also they where only 2 of 12 on third down and we out gained them in yardage.. our team speed was also very evident, there secondary was clueless, colt thorws for 300 plus on them easy.. we where even able to run a little with gilbert in there.. Alabama Won the game i will give them that that , this will be one that will sting for a while.. not many times once u realize ,that u are so much better then the other team, in a championship game.. as they always say there is always next year.. we will go 11-1 and win the big 12 and play for it all at the sugar bowl… goodwin and monroe are gonna have berak out years, so is tre newton and mike davis.. gilbertwill be fine… even with earl going prop the defense is gonna be stout… well lets get ready for some basketball and final four talk
Glad you made it back MB. Couldn’t bear to watch it again. Deleted it from the DVR without a thought. Anybody who would like to come for a basketball game to let me know. I know a guy, who knows a guy, who could probably scare up tickets.
