First off: Texas A&M, Thanksgiving.
The plan is to arrive into College Station around 11am. I’m hoping to get a spot in one of the $10 cash lots. First choices are lots 64 or 70. Second choice would be that cluster of lots 98, 73, 18, 114. Please see the map below:

By setting up there, it should allow for any afternoon arrivals to just park north of university for $10 and stop by on the way into campus.
We will NOT have a big Thanksgiving spread like we did in Austin last year. I’ll update this post once I do know what the hell the plan is for food. I tried contacting some places in B/CS about catered food, but only one of them answered. And the one that did answer is run by former Ramada Inn manager Dinesh Patel. So no way I’m using them. Just kidding. No one answered.
By the way, I’m doing this blind – with little to no knowledge of the campus or the tailgating scene, so if anyone has a better idea, here’s your chance.
BIG XII CHAMPIONSHIP
We are confirmed in lot 10T. We have at least 2 tailgate passes now, and will have 3 soon. I still have no idea what time the lots open for tailgating. The first person to find out gets a shiny nickel!
You can either buy a regular lot 10 parking pass, or you can park just east of Collins. There are private lots between 1-3 blocks away that will let you park for ~ $20. So don’t pay $100 for a lot 10 pass if you’re willing and able to walk a little while.
Lot 10T has power outlets (SCORE!) so we will definitely have the S-E-C- Championship game on during the afternoon. Given the stakes, I imagine that even sec haters like “secsux” will be watching intently. Of course I’m sure he’ll complain about it the whole time, but whatever!
More info will be posted later about food, etc. If you have any questions put a comment here and we’ll help you out.

LOT 64 OR 70 IS FINE… Let me know if u want me to get there early ,i am only a hour and half away… also my plan is to bring beer, snacks etc
I wouldn’t worry about getting there ridiculously early. I should be able to hit the grocery store today so I won’t have any need to stop in B/CS. I’ve given up on trying to get Thanksgiving stuff from a restaurant/caterer in B/CS. Too much hassle.
We’ll be close enough to Northgate that we can go get some more food if the snacks aren’t enough.
We can pick up Boston Market in FW tonight and bring it to B/CS and heat it up upon setup. Any interest?
We ordered Boston Market. Will pick it up on the way out of town tomorrow morning. For anyone arriving between noon and 1pm, we’ll have delicious food. Just for you!
sounds good, i will plan on arriving around 10:30 -11:00 do u want to just plan on lot 70 for now
also keep in mind ticket situtation, i still need one…
just for fun

Yeah lets plan on Lot 70. Mike you’ll probably beat us there by 30 mins – 1 hour. If 64 and lot 70 are full (they are VERY SMALL lots), then lots 73 or 18 should be the backup plan.
To everyone else, once we’re settled somewhere I’ll let everyone know.
I picked up 1.5 cases of beer, 2 2L of Coke/7Up, and we’ll have plates and all that crap for the food.
i will let u know once i get there ,which lot is best, i will bring 2 cases of beer, and other and snacks as well
Mike, what route are you going? 45 or 290? I’m not planning on leaving H-town until 3ish.
let me know tomorrow when you realize that you have forgotten something, i should be there by 1. i can pick up whatever is needed on the way up.
BIG XII CHAMPIONSHIP I NEED ONE TICKET IF ANYONE HAS A EXTRA LET ME KNOW..
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW I HAVE ONE BEFORE SATURDAY..Don.’t feel like hunting for one all day

I am hearing lots will not open until 2:00 pm, but who know sat this point, i would think noon
Headed to Arlington this weekend….would like to avoid high priced beer as much as possible… any open tailgates? happy to contribute.
